What's Up Wednesday?

Mr. B took me bowling last night... well technically the kid's Teen Group went bowling and we tagged along and played on another lane far away so I wouldn't embarrass them.  Yeah, I know, there isn't really a lane far enough away so I won't embarrass them... not sure how I attained this level of silly.  I am the Grand Master of Silly.

People say to me on a regular basis "I don't agree with you on many issues."  They never tell me what the issues are or why they don't agree with me.  They just throw that out there to point out how " weird " I am to everyone... news flash... I know.  And I don't care, I love me, weirdness and all.  But pointing it out is something I do care about.  

 It's kind of mean actually...

I had a great meeting with my design team leader yesterday.  He is, quite simply, amazing.  I think we are going to have a very successful working relationship.  And he is a man and he liked what he has read of my novel so far... who knew!?!?!

 I am turning to my old standbys today for coping with the stress and disillusionment I have been feeling lately.

Faith and meditation.

I proved again that I am the best trainer.  I push myself harder and come away from each workout feeling like I " kicked my own ass "... that is the one Jim Carrey line that always cracks me up.  In Liar Liar, when he is beating himself up in the bathroom... that's me in the gym.

Oh, and yes, I will confess I did try the old drown my sorrows method.  I am not proud of this but I have promised full disclosure here.  I don't pretend to be perfect.  I am flawed, very much so and we all have our issues.

I am proud to say I recovered quickly and am focused and balanced and coping much better today.

The world can be a lonely place if we are looking around for help and encouragement.  My answer to this... look up.

That being said, the sunrise was just lovely here today.  Cold, but lovely.  Winter is such a pretty season.

Funny but I have been getting excited for gardening lately.  Other gardeners understand this January phenomenon I am sure.

It's the perfect day to finish my work early and grab a little Downton Abbey fix while having tea with my sweet kiddo's.

Last night was a Big Salad night.  I think tonight's chilly temps are calling for a nice hearty soup.  Yum!!!
